CORE DRILLING

A member of the core drilling crew coring a 3-inch diameter hole to a depth of 8-foot. The core drill crew travels with a 240V DTI coring drill, and all of the tools necessary to roughen, clean, epoxy, and set anchor rods. This service was added in 2017 out of necessity as your typical coring company does not have cell site specific knowledge of deep cores and their unique challenges.

Our Nuclear Welding Field Crew performing shielded metal arc welding for a full pen groove weld as part of a project to upgrade the containment air filtration system. FinishLine provided ASME Section IX certified welders, AWS D1.1 certified welders, and FinishLine’s Quality Control program.

Modifications

MODIFICATIONS

A FinishLine welder performing a complete joint pretraction weld using shielded metal arc welding in the field to shorten a cell tower extension prior to installation. This job included field welding, drilling, and high strength bolt installation, rigging with aid of a 50-ton crane, and installation of a new safety climb system top to bottom.

MECHANICAL MODS

Greg doing a final torque on hollow bling bolt assembly at the completion of a mechanical mod. The crew completed the layout, drilling, rigging, bolting, torquing, and cold galvanizing of the bottom 54 feet of this tower in just over a week.

SHOP FABRICATION AND WELDING

Brian performing gas tungsten arc welding of this 304L stainless pipe spool as part of the pre-fab portion of a piping system modification in California. This project, including layout, pre-fab, tie-ins, mechanical installation, and modification of existing pipe supports.
